Our work
Focus Areas
At The Trust for the Americas, we focus on three essential pillars:
Employability, entrepreneurship, and innovation. These pillars are closely interconnected and mutually reinforcing, creating a cycle of continuous progress.

How we do it
At The Trust for the Americas, we have refined a strategic approach that maximizes the impact of our projects through partnerships with the public and private sectors, academia, and civil society. Our ability to generate synergies across the region enables us to sustainably transform lives and communities.
We collaborate with trusted local partners and a team of experts in Latin America and the Caribbean to implement programs that address the real needs of marginalized communities. Our approach focuses on providing solutions that foster social entrepreneurship, promote sustainability, and ensure that our projects maintain lasting visibility and relevance at the local level.
Implementing our programs: a five-step process
Trust Social Franchise
Since 2014, The Trust for the Americas has promoted the Trust Social Franchise as an innovative social development model designed to empower organizations that foster economic and social inclusion in their communities. Through an active network of Local Partners, we promote access to technology, training methodologies, and educational content to strengthen participants’ skills and help them access employment, entrepreneurship, and educational opportunities.
Academia Trust
Academia Trust is an exclusive initiative for our local partners, offering a comprehensive approach to continuous training and skill development. Through in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats, Academia Trust trains participants in key areas such as digital literacy, computer science, soft skills for employment and entrepreneurship, and topics related to inclusion and disability.
It also includes e-learning platforms like the Virtual Classroom, a repository of downloadable content, and a collaborative learning community across Latin America and the Caribbean.
