Unleashing the Potential of Jamaican Youth through Empowerment & Training (JET)

This project aims to improve employment opportunities for unemployed or underemployed young people aged 17 to 34 by providing digital, business, and soft skills training. With an innovative approach, it will use artificial intelligence to identify market demands, design tailored training, and connect beneficiaries with jobs, freelance work, or entrepreneurship. In partnership with companies, SMEs, and civil society, it will strengthen key competencies and foster the growth of the digital economy in Jamaica.

POETA DIGISPARK
POETA DigiSpark

POETA DigiSpark POETA DigiSpark empowers vulnerable individuals (ages 16 and up) through technology, facilitating access to employment, entrepreneurship, and education in 11 countries across Latin America and the Caribbean, with support from Microsoft Philanthropies. In 2025, the program will emphasize artificial intelligence and cybersecurity as key pillars, training educators and entrepreneurs in emerging technologies. With a network of 20 partners, it promotes digital, technical, and life skills, fostering regional digital and economic transformation.ca regional.

Skills for Sustainability

Skills for Sustainability (S4S) - Jale por el Agua is a binational project that trains underserved populations in digital, technical, and life skills, focusing on the water and wastewater management sector along the Mexico–United States border. NADBank, Microsoft, the EPA, and WaterHouse Group funded the initiative to connect individuals with employment opportunities in sector companies, enhancing water services and promoting sustainable development in the region.

CIMA
CIMA Project (Comprehensive Training for Women in Action in Spanish)

The CIMA Project (Comprehensive Training for Women in Action), implemented in Mexico by The Trust for the Americas with support from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, aims to improve the well-being and financial independence of women aged 16 to 29. Since 2022, it has provided training and mentoring in technical, digital, life skills, and empowerment, promoting their employment in the hospitality and service industries in the Mexico City Metropolitan Area.

Empoderamiento de los Pueblos Indígenas a través de Habilidades Digitales
Empowering Indigenous Peoples through Digital Skills

The project Empowering Indigenous Peoples through Digital Skills trained women, girls, transgender individuals, and people of diverse gender from Indigenous communities in Canada, strengthening their digital and life skills. Implemented between August 2023 and August 2024, the project, supported by Microsoft Philanthropies, aimed to increase Indigenous representation in the digital economy, promoting inclusion and cultural awareness within the tech sector.

A new Path
A New Path

Co-implemented with the Department of Public Security of the General Secretariat of the OAS and funded by USAID, "A New Path" improves access to and the quality of reintegration services for detained youth in Jamaica. It provides technical training, psychosocial support, life skills and innovation training, and economic opportunities. The project also strengthens the juvenile justice system by building capacity within Jamaica's Department of Correctional Services, fostering comprehensive systemic change.

VIVE - Ven, Inspírate y Vende
VIVE - Come, Get Inspired, and Sell

The VIVE Project (Come, Get Inspired, and Sell), supported by Walmart Foundation and led by The Trust for the Americas in partnership with Fundación ManpowerGroup, has empowered economically disadvantaged Mexican women since 2016. Targeting women aged 15 and older from low-income backgrounds, the project has operated in 184 municipalities across 28 states, providing training in sales, customer service, entrepreneurship, leadership, and gender-based violence prevention. The goal is to expand economic opportunities for women and prevent violence against women and girls.
